The road to the NCAA Division III Men’s Volleyball Championship is taking shape as conference tournaments across the country determine which teams will secure the coveted automatic bids to the national tournament.

Several conferences have already seen exciting action in the early rounds. In the CCIW, top-seeded Carthage (26.40 rating) defeated Augustana 3-0, while second-seeded Loras (25.66) also advanced with a 3-0 sweep over North Central. Both teams will face off on April 12th for the conference’s automatic bid.

The CVC tournament has produced some compelling matchups with fifth-seeded Marymount (19.13) upsetting fourth-seeded Kean with a 3-1 victory. On the opposite side of the bracket, third-seeded Rutgers (21.04) advanced past Drew with another 3-1 result. These teams will battle conference semifinalists on April 11th.

In the CUNY conference, fourth-seeded John Jay (14.40) defeated fifth-seeded Lehman 3-0, while third-seeded Brooklyn (12.45) handled sixth-seeded York NY with another 3-0 sweep. Both teams have advanced to face higher seeds in the conference semifinals.

The NACC tournament has featured strong performances from top teams, with Aurora (23.63), Dominican (21.80), Benedictine (21.84), and MSOE (22.06) all advancing to the quarterfinals. In the NEVC, the quarterfinals have concluded with SUNY Poly (17.47) pulling off a thrilling 3-2 win over Bard, while Endicott (19.12) cruised past Sage 3-0. The semifinals are scheduled for April 12th, with the championship match to follow on April 13th.

Southern Virginia leads all teams with the highest rating (27.76) in the CVC, while NYU tops the UVC with a 26.56 rating. Both conferences will conclude their tournaments by April 13th.

The tournament will ultimately feature 14 conference champions receiving automatic bids, plus an additional 5 at-large bids determined by NPI rating, bringing the field to 19 teams competing for the Division III national championship.
