The Wentworth Leopards men’s volleyball team enters the 2026 season carrying strong momentum from a dominant run in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC). Head Coach Evin Giglio directs the program in his 15th season, having exceeded 300 career victories and guided the Leopards to four consecutive GNAC championships, numerous conference titles, and regular NCAA Tournament appearances. His consistent leadership has established Wentworth as a premier Division III program with high national rankings and a winning tradition.
2025 Season Recap
The Leopards posted an excellent 26-7 overall record across 33 matches and 111 sets in 2025, including an undefeated conference run en route to their fourth straight GNAC championship. The team earned an NCAA Tournament bid and showcased elite efficiency with 1378 total kills (12.41 per set), a .294 hitting percentage, 1260 assists (11.35 per set), 225 service aces (2.03 per set), 1023 digs (9.22 per set), and 213 total blocks (1.91 per set). Balanced contributions across attacking, serving, and defense fueled the success, with standout efforts in conference play including a .349 hitting percentage and strong point production.
Key offensive leaders included Jacob Waga (149 kills, 2.81 per set, .314 percentage), Alem Dubcak (144 kills, 2.25 per set), Mason Andrade (139 kills, 2.21 per set, .285 percentage), Andrew Ahn (140 kills, 2.06 per set), Conner Foxwell (127 kills, 1.72 per set, .425 percentage), and Nicolai Bell (118 kills, 1.79 per set, .372 percentage). Setter Brayden Green orchestrated the attack with 565 assists (5.95 per set), supported by depth in distribution.
Graduating Players and Departures
The team graduates several accomplished seniors who delivered significant production and leadership during the championship season. Notable departures include Jacob Waga, the top kill producer with 149 kills and a team-leading 3.36 points per set; Josh Milke, a key setter with 446 assists; Ryan Roller, Tyler Jack, Alek Reymond, Sam Etter (83 kills, 2.59 per set in limited action), Antonio Marino, and Nick Cebula. These players contributed greatly to the offensive firepower, setting stability, and overall success, leaving a legacy of excellence and high standards for the program.
Returning Players
A deep and experienced core returns, offering proven production and continuity across all positions. Standouts include senior setter Brayden Green, who returns to lead the offense after distributing 565 assists in 2025; senior Mason Andrade (OH/L), a versatile attacker with 139 kills and 2.81 points per set; senior Andrew Ahn (OH) with 140 kills; senior Nicolai Bell (MH, 6’9″), a blocking force with 118 kills and .372 efficiency; senior Matthew Zegowitz (MH, 6’8″) with strong hitting; and junior Alem Dubcak (OH/RS) with 144 kills. Additional returners like junior Conner Foxwell (MH) with 127 kills and .425 percentage, junior Mekhi Burns (L) anchoring defense, and others including Ian Babcock (RS), Gabe Tucker (RS), Jeremy Macek (OH), Eli Turner (OH/RS), and Luke Sun (MH) provide depth, height, and multi-faceted skills honed from extensive playing time on the title-winning squad.
New Additions: Incoming Freshmen Class of 2026
The Leopards welcome a large and talented freshman class of ten players, bringing nationwide recruiting success, impressive physical attributes, and competitive backgrounds from elite high school and club programs. This group adds substantial depth, front-row size, setting height, and backcourt quickness, positioning the roster for balanced rotations and continued strength.
Dylan Johnson (Middle Hitter, 6’2″, Worthington, OH / Thomas Worthington High School) Dylan contributes blocking and attacking from a Thomas Worthington team that reached the OHSAA Division I state semifinals. He earned multiple Player of the Game awards and trained with Vanguard Volleyball Club.
Caleb Harrison (Middle Hitter, 6’4″, Myrtle Beach, SC / Carolina Forest High School) Caleb brings power to the middle from Carolina Forest’s competitive program. He developed with Apex Volleyball Club alongside his brother Cody.
Cody Harrison (Setter, 6’4″, Myrtle Beach, SC / Carolina Forest High School) Cody provides tall playmaking and all-around contributions from the same Carolina Forest squad, with strong experience through Apex Volleyball Club.
Aaron McRae (Setter, 6’4″, Chandler, AZ / Hamilton High School) Aaron adds height and skill at setter from Hamilton’s varsity, refined through Aspire Volleyball Club in tournament play.
Cody Popp (Outside Hitter, 6’1″, Wilmington, DE / Salesianum School) Cody arrives as a highly decorated recruit, earning Delaware Boys Volleyball Player of the Year honors early in high school from the state-contending Salesianum program and Yorktowne Volleyball Club.
Juan Zuniga (Libero, 5’6″, West Valley City, UT / Salt Lake Academy) Juan enhances defense with exceptional quickness and led Utah in service aces, gaining valuable experience with Club GSL.
Krister Leya (Middle Hitter, 6’5″, Titusville, NJ / Colts Neck High School) Krister offers significant reach and production from Colts Neck, with strong performances developed through Warren Sixpack Volleyball Club.
Saurab Anjanapa (Outside Hitter/Right Side, 6’1″, Coppell, TX / Coppell High School) Saurab delivers versatile attacking options from Coppell varsity and IndyRoots Volleyball Club competition.
William Biggs (Right Side, 6’4″, Chesterfield, MO / Parkway Central High School) William provides powerful hitting from Parkway Central, with standout kills and recognition, trained at High Performance-St. Louis (HPSTL).
Tony Kowalewski (Outside Hitter, 6’2″, South Jordan, UT / Herriman High School) Tony brings dynamic pins from Herriman’s program and Club GSL’s competitive environment.
2026 Outlook
With Coach Evin Giglio’s established expertise, a veteran-laden returning group featuring standout offensive producers like Alem Dubcak, Mason Andrade, Brayden Green, and towering middles, plus an athletic and sizable freshman class injecting new energy and depth, the Wentworth Leopards are primed for sustained dominance. The team claimed the top spot in the GNAC preseason coaches’ poll for the fifth consecutive year and earned a No. 11 national ranking in the AVCA preseason poll. This potent mix of experience, size, skill, and incoming talent positions Wentworth as the conference favorite and a serious national contender in Division III men’s volleyball.
