Q&A
How is the Yellow Jackets’s season progressing compared to expectations?
“The BW season so far has been really extraordinary. When you consider that we are just a 3rd year program and we are having this much success so quickly really speaks to the mindset of the guys we have in the gym. With that being said, however, with being a 3rd year program, we haven’t proved anything and that chip on our shoulder really motivates us to continue to get better.”
The MCVL conference playoffs will be here soon. Which team do you think is the team to beat in the conference tournament and why?
“I think every team in our conference has a great chance to be the team to beat in playoffs. That’s part of the beauty of our conference, and it is fun to compete with everyone.”
Give us your picks for the NCAA D3 final 4!
“Vassar, Juniata, Stevens, and I’m going to throw Naz in there as an underdog.”
Which player have you been most impressed by (outside of your own teammates) this season and why?
“Aside from my own teammates, I will say Andrew Zaleck at Rutgers-Newark that had 39 kills in their match a couple weeks ago. Those are ridiculous numbers and that is awesome.”
What has been your favorite part of the BW season thus far?
“My favorite part of the BW season so far was beating Loras in 4. This was a big one for me personally because I had been recruited by them, and it was also a big win for the team because it was the first time we had beaten a ranked team as a program.”
