Here is a comparison of the latest NPI rating and ranking compared to the IH algorithm. Not all team ratings are published on the NPI system. Noting that there will be a number of autobids from teams winning their conference playoffs that are not in the top ranked teams. With 19 spots to fill, the NPI will dictate which 5 teams will receive at-large bids. Our algorithm continues to favor SVU over NYU for the top rank in the country. All other major “rankers” have NYU on top. The difference category reflect where IH ranks higher than NPI (green) and where NPI ranks teams higher than IH (red).
