How is the Spartans season progressing compared to expectations?
“Expectations for us were high this season, we were picked to win the NACC and our non conference schedule was absolutely loaded with tough teams that we could prove ourselves against, but our starting M1 and Captain Solomon Dail got injured during the first game and we struggled to find out groove which led us getting kind of pummeled in those first 11 matches, right now we’re redefining our expectations on what we can do and where we can go in terms of winning the NACC.”
The NACC conference playoffs will be here soon. Which team do you think is the team to beat in the conference tournament and why?
“During the NACC tournament I gotta say BenU. They have the most experienced team in the conference and their natural culture of choppiness and trash talk makes every matchup a mental and physical battle.”
Which player have you been most impressed by (outside of your own teammates) this season and why?
“Kind of in the same realm as my previous answer but I’d have to go Chase Olson from BenU. He’s a fifth year and practically unstoppable at this point. Posts double digit kills like it’s nothing and runs a deadly slide ball. I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of playing against him since he’s easily the best attacking Middle I’ve played. Really hoping for another shot against him the conference tournament.”

“My Top 4 has to be Stevens, Carthage, Juniata, Springfield”
What has been your favorite part of the Aurora season thus far?
“Best moment of the season currently is our win against North Central early on in the season. Like most of the teams on the area, we kind of have a rivalry with them and it felt good to get one over them in 5 after losing our last 2 matchups with them. Great team win and absolutely insane atmosphere in Thornton.”
