Background:
Owen is a 6’5″ middle hitter from Waterford, PA. He went to Fort LeBoeuf high school and is a junior. He is majoring in software engineering at Penn State-Behrend campus.
Penn State-Behrend is currently the #51 team in the country for NCAA men’s volleyball in the latest IH ranking on 3/12/23. They are ranked first in the AMCC.

How is the Lions season progressing compared to expectations?
“This season had few expectations. We started the season with the dynamic of 6 returners and 9 freshmen. We had the slow start we expected but have began to gain momentum. We still control our own destiny (for conference play).”
The AMCC conference playoffs will be here soon. Which team do you think is the team to beat in the conference tournament and why?
“As it stands, Geneva is the team to beat. They are currently unbeaten in conference play and are making a strong case for a conference favorite.”

“My final four prediction: Stevens, Vassar, Springfield, Carthage.”
Which player have you been most impressed by (outside of your own teammates) this season and why?
“Byron Spear of Geneva has been quite impressive this year. For a player who was spent a majority of his career as a middle, he has become quite a dominant force on the outside. Very excited to compete against him soon.”
What has been your favorite part of the Lions season thus far?
“My favourite part of this season has been helping my young teammates grow both as individuals and as players. Taking on a leadership role has been one of the most fulfilling experiences in my collegiate athletic career.”
